How committed are you to always doing what is right? Do you only do what’s right as long as it doesn’t inconvenient you? Do you only do what’s right as long as it doesn’t cost you money or stress? Or do you do what’s right all the time because it is the right thing to do according to your code of honor?

Your commitment to doing what’s right determines whether or not you have truly have honor. If you value honor, then you will always do what is right, even when it would be much easier for you to take an easier path. The man who lives by honor truly does have an unwavering commitment to do what’s right, even though there are much more convenient options available to him.

So, when you are asked how committed you are to doing what is right, the question in the shadows is, “Are you totally committed to living a life of honor and integrity, or to just doing what’s right when it appears to be best for you?”. Doing what’s right is simply a side effect of living life with honor and integrity.

If you value honor and integrity, then you will be honest, you will live with courage, you will be mindful, and you will live with authenticity and character. In short, you will always do your best to do what’s right in every situation that you encounter.
