A Man of Honor Makes His Own Decisions
A wise man makes his own decisions. An ignorant man follows public opinion. Chinese Proverb
Men of character and honor make their own decisions. They have to because they live by their own code and others have no understanding of that code. If someone doesn’t understand the code that you live by, how could they know what is right or wrong for you? They don’t.
Only a fool follows public opinion, especially in today’s world where it seems that most things are backwards and upside down. The man of honor lives his life by his own rules and his own code. He decides for himself what he will and won’t do or what he will and won’t support; he couldn’t care less about public opinion, what celebrities say, or what others are doing.
The majority of people today don’t seem to understand this philosophy. They appear to go along with whatever is popular at the moment, being led by social the mainstream media, social media hacks, celebrities, and, to put it plainly, idiots with a platform. Most people don’t seem to be able to actually make intelligent decisions for themselves anymore.
Living that way is for the ignorant and the foolish. Think for yourself and stop allowing yourself to be influenced by other people, the media, celebrities, or dishonest politicians. As Goethe wrote, “Nothing is more disagreeable than a majority; for it consists of a few powerful people in the lead, rogues who are adaptable, weak people who assimilate with the rest, and the crowds that trundles along behind without the slightest notion of what it’s after.”
That is not the way for men of honor and integrity. They do what they know is right, regardless of what anyone else does or thinks about it. Wise men are not moved by media talking points or some so-called influencer on social media. They know that the majority are not people to honored or to follow. They couldn’t care less about the opinions of celebrities or sports stars. Men of honor live by higher standards and refuse to be led like sheep. Warrior up!
