Be Careful Who You Trust
Never trust a friend that chills with the enemy.
A true friend should have unquestionable loyalty to his friends. If someone physically attacks your friend, you should feel as if that person just attacked you as well. If someone is libeling or slandering your friend in order to damage his reputation, you should feel that he is just as much your enemy as your friend’s enemy.
The enemy of my friend is my enemy, just as the friend of my enemy is my enemy. Many of you have seen me teach on that philosophy many times over the years. You have to be very careful when it comes to who you trust.
If you have a friend that tries to walk in the middle of the road, being buddies with both you and your enemies, he is not to be trusted. This person is not your true friend. Never trust a “friend” that chills with the enemy. A true friend would not be friends with those who hate you or try to destroy you. That should be a giant red flag for you!
The person who is friends with everyone is truly a friend to no one. A real friend has the integrity to stand by your side against those who come against you. A fake friend wants to keep one foot in Heaven and one foot in Hell; he wants to be friends with both God and Satan, without committing to either side. People like this should never be completely be trusted.
A true friend has no interest in being friends with those who hate or try to hurt his friends. He knows that a man of honor has no problem standing side by side with his friend against any enemy. He would understand that it is disloyal and dishonorable to be friends with his friend’s enemies. A true friend has the courage and the backbone to always choose to support his friend, even if it means cutting some people out of his life.
It takes character, integrity, honor, loyalty, and guts to be a true friend; cowards and politically correct hacks can’t understand this fact. Warriors are true friends; they have no time for that spineless, middle-of-the-road, crap. An attack against their friend is an attack against them. Warrior up and be your friend’s true friend!
