Study strategy over the years and achieve the spirit of the warrior. Miyamoto Musashi

Living the warrior lifestyle does not mean that you are employed in law enforcement or that you are in the military. The warrior lifestyle is about developing the spirit of the warrior in everything you do. It has to do with your approach to life, not necessarily what you do for a living.

Warriors look at life differently than most people; they hold themselves to a higher standard than the average person. To the true warrior, life is about perfecting your character, training to be able to handle whatever comes your way in life, and seeing life in terms of warrior strategies.

This doesn’t mean that the warrior sees everything in terms of winning or losing. Warriors look at winning and losing differently than most people. They know what they are capable of doing, and therefore, are more likely than others to walk away from a possibly volatile situation.

While others may feel as if they have lost face when they walk away from an insult or from some jerk who wants to fight, the warrior considers it a win. He handled the situation, defeated his opponent, and won without fighting, which Sun Tzu called the supreme art of warrior. The best victory is defeating your enemy without him even knowing that he lost the battle.

The warrior couldn’t care less that if some jerk thinks he is a coward or a wimp; he does not live his life according the the thoughts of others. Their thoughts are meaningless to him. He understands that he determines his own honor; his own code determines what is a victory or defeat.

He approaches most things in life in terms of strategy — what is the best way to handle every situation. Warriors leave very little to chance; they do their best and then accept things as they are, as Musashi taught. If he is not happy with the outcome of a situation, he simply develops a new strategy to deal with things are they are.

Warriors know they are never defeated until they declare defeat and quit. They are in control of their own destiny and know that everything is important, everything matters. The warrior understands that many times it is some small, seemingly meaningless aspect of a situation which leads to victory or defeat. So he does his best not to overlook anything. He takes nothing for granted.

Whatever he is involved in, he looks at through the lens of a strategist. This simply comes naturally to him after years of training and studying strategy. He has developed the spirit of the warrior and is a formidable force no matter what he may be doing.

The spirit of the warrior is developed over years of studying strategy, wisdom, and human nature, and training to develop his character, integrity, and martial skills. The warrior lifestyle is not the easiest path, but it is the most rewarding. Warrior up and develop the spirit of the warrior!
