The man of principle never forgets what he is because of what others are. Baltasar Gracian

As you go through your day you will have many opportunities to forget what you are and who you are because of what others are and how they behave. You will run into people who are rude, obnoxious, mean, and just plain nasty. And you will be very tempted to respond in kind to these misguided jerks, if you forget who you are and what is important to you.

Don’t let these obnoxious people get to you! They are responsible for their behavior and the negative energy that it brings into their lives. You are responsible for maintaining your code of honor, your principles, and your inner peace. Don’t let the actions or opinions of other people sidetrack you from being the person that you want to be!

Make a firm decision concerning how you will live your life and then follow through on it, no matter how other people behave or what they may think about it. Constantly remind yourself that the man (or woman) of principle never forgets what he is because of what others are. Remembering this will give you the strength to walk away from rude people without allowing them to get to you or affect your inner peace.

Keep your focus on who you are and what you are becoming. When you put more importance on your principles and your inner peace, the behavior or opinions of others will hold no power over you. Stop allowing the behavior of other people rob you of your inner peace or throw you off course. Warrior up!
